# Getting started with Jazz

Use this path if you have not run Jazz before.

1. [Install Jazz and run your first agent](./quick-start.md).
2. [Create an agent for a specific job](./create-an-agent.md).
3. Learn the [CLI](../surfaces/cli.md): resume work, attach files, and control runs.
4. Choose a next step:
   - build a [CI reviewer using OpenRouter or a self-hosted model](../guides/pr-review.md);
   - create a reusable [accountability persona named Goggins](../guides/goggins-accountability-agent.md);
   - combine a cheap text model with [specialist media companions](../guides/media-companions.md);
   - run locally with [Ollama, llama.cpp, vLLM, or SGLang](./local-models.md);
   - reach the agent through a [chat surface](../guides/deploy-a-chat-agent.md);
   - run work [headlessly](../surfaces/headless.md) or [on a schedule](../surfaces/scheduled.md);
   - create a chart or interactive dashboard with [compositions](../concepts/compositions.md);
   - keep Jazz working with [goals and loops](../concepts/goals-and-loops.md);
   - connect [MCP servers](../configure/mcp.md) or a [web-search provider](../configure/web-search.md).

To remove Jazz later, [uninstall](./uninstall.md) lists everything it puts on the machine.

Jazz uses one agent definition across every surface. You do not need to recreate an agent when you move from the terminal to a script, schedule, webhook, or chat bot.
